Meet the Owner

Welcome to First State Sips! I’m Jennifer, the founder and passionate bartender behind Delaware’s premier dry hire mobile bartending service. My journey into bartending began four years ago, and I quickly fell in love with crafting unique drinks and hearing the amazing stories shared by my customers. There’s nothing more rewarding than adding a personal touch to life’s special moments.

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, which instilled in me the value of hard work and community. For the past 20 years, I called Milford, Delaware, home before recently relocating to Bridgeville.

Outside of bartending, I’m a proud mom to two wonderful boys, ages 20 and 15, and I also run 1st State Brokerage, specializing in insurance, retirement & estate planning. An animal lover at heart, I dream of opening a rescue someday to give back to the furry friends who bring so much joy into our lives.

Whether you're hosting an intimate gathering, a fun-filled children’s party (with mocktails and kid-friendly options), a bachelor or bachelorette celebration, a dream wedding, or a professional corporate event, we handle it all with style and precision.

Looking for something unique? We also offer private craft cocktail workshops, perfect for small groups of friends who want to learn the art of mixology and create amazing drinks together. Whatever the occasion, First State Sips is here to make your event extraordinary. Let us elevate your celebration with custom drink menus, professional bartending, and memories to last a lifetime.
